Outcome of Ofsted Inspection
Our most recent Ofsted inspection is now published and in addition to providing good to outstanding outcomes for learners under our care, we continue to demonstrate our added value.
Ofsted has praised us on many aspects from teaching and learning, leadership and management to student development and wellbeing, these include:
- Teachers make sure that lesson activities are interesting and help pupils to progress through the curriculum.
- Pupils learn to prepare for their next steps after they leave the school, this includes careers lessons that prepare them for work or college.
- Leaders and staff have high expectations and make sure that the curriculum is right for all pupils.
- Leaders identify pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities very well.
- Leaders have ensured that there is a strong culture of safeguarding at the school.
- The school caters for pupils with a very wide range of needs across its sites.
- Throughout the school pupils behave very well.
- The curriculum includes opportunities for pupils' social and cultural development.
- Lessons include visits to important places, such as the Globe theatre, the Olympic park and other local parks and open spaces.
- The curriculum helps pupils learn how to protect themselves form dangers online and in the community and how to get help if they need it.
- Pupils at the school feel safe.
Ofsted's view of our school
- The quality of education provided by Education Links is good overall and supports the school’s aim of helping young people to overcome the barriers to their learning.
- An emphasis on developing personal skills and social awareness is at the core of the school’s aims.
- Teachers are dedicated to supporting the pupils, who express their appreciation of the guidance they receive.
- All staff demonstrate a good understanding of pupils’ personal as well as learning needs.
- Behaviour is good.
- They make good progress.
